There is a great shop on I-5 down South that is worth the pilgrimage for
someone interested in rod building, "Angler's Workshop". They put an
extensive catalog out of rod building supplies, but it's a good opportunity
to get up close and personal with all the stuff in one location. They have
a lot of blanks to look at as well. It has the added advantage of being
located immediately adjacent to the Lamiglass factory (and outlet store,
where I found a very sweet 8' 2 wt second at an incredible price). And this
time of year...you shouldn't have any trouble finding some place to stop
and fish.

Subject: rod-building advice
Greetings,
Can anyone offer any advice (on-line or off-line) regarding
rod-building. I am a complete novice but it does look like a productive
time to while away the wet season. Looking for hte best video/book/site,
etc.
thanks!
