a fishing buddy was over & fished the methow last monday and ran into the fish counter. he was rather surprised and a little concerned when the counter told him that more native are lost because of the c&r guys than the meat guys.
 
He claimed that they only catch 1 or 2 marked fish and leave but the c&r guys catch fish all day long, plus a lot of natives, so even though the mortality rate is normally lower when everyone catches an equal number in the methow the c&r guys are catching so many more than the meat guys that the mortality rate is much higher for them and this includes the natives and the closure dates are on a formula based on the number of fish caught & released.
 
is this true or just a bunch of hot air from someone that is misinformed?
