Hi Jim:

Ditto comments about the Cimarron. I have a C-4 that I've used and abused for years in salt and fresh no issues. My buddy in Florida has two (about 6 years now). Both see action in that nasty corrosive back-bay salt evironment there and again no problems. $165/$88.
I can also recommend the Orvis Battenkill 7/8 Disc Drag. Been my SW cutthroat reel for 10+ years and haven't been able to hurt it (even forgetting to rinse it every once in a while). It's $119, spares at $49. Same reel but bar stock is $149/$75.
I know Ross discontinued the Gunnison in favor of the Rhythm large arbor but haven't heard of any talk about discontinuing the Cimarron.

Okay, so I bought Wyatt's 9'9" 7Wt St Croix Legend Ultra and Rio multi-tip
line. now I need a reel! I'm dying to cast it. Here's my criteria:

$150 or less

Good drag that's easy to operate with fine control

Good balance for this rod

Looking at Fleuger Trion, Redington RS2.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Jim
