Just so long as you are talking lead-acid batteries, it should be just fine. If the current is too high for too long, the battery might boil, but the alternators control the current better than that. They are basically the same as a standard starting battery, but with a chemistry to allow for better current flow across the charge/discharge range. Rob -- Mountlake Terrace, WA
