Sean,
Smith Creek Farm in Renton would probably fill the bill. Two small ponds on a little creek stocked with 10 - 12 inchers and a larger pond that has fish in the 20 inch range. They have rods and provide bait. You'll have to sneak your fly rod in - or at least promise to not catch and release.
Plus there's a play area and some small animals for added interest.
Cheers,
-Bob

Subject: Local Pay-for-Play locations in East Side

I'm looking for a place to take my young grandson here on the east side, and
I thought there was one around Fall City, but I haven't been able to locate
it. I know King Lake is here, but he's pretty young, and it's fly-fishing
only. He's 2-1/2, so his attention span is going to be about as long as the
environmental section of Bush's 2004 state of the union address (short). As
such, I need a place where I'm pretty much guaranteed of catching a fish.
They leave before the river opener, so it'd have to be a lake that has good
beach access.

I'm thinking of taking him Sunday afternoon, but don't know where to go.
Any ideas, folks? Thanks in advance.
