There's also a far less tangible reason: Mac's just WORK better.
There's no other way to describe it. I recently had the experience of
using Adobe Illustrator on a Windows XP machine. The program just
didn't feel the same. The mouse is feels less precise, the XP version
of font smoothing is downright U G L Y, and the over-all business of
running the program - font selection, object manipulation, etc, just
doesn't have the same feel or responsiveness. I couldn't help feeling
the whole time "If I had to use one of these things all the time I'd
have to find something else to do."

I know it's all very personal and subjective, but there it is - MACs
JUST WORK BETTER (IMHO) :-)

I have yet to meet anyone who could win the PC vs Mac argument on a
technology basis: it always just comes down to price; and they always
look only at the up-front purchase price. Why anyone, particularly in a
graphics business, would willingly walk into the virus-ridden mess that
is the modern Windows environment is bewildering from any point of view
other than the fact that they can buy more beige boxes for their given
dollar. There can be no other reason.

Mac because I prefer it -- Windows because I have to.
