Hi I have recently upgraded my Kids old LC475 to a snow Imac, the LC475 ( non PPC) is running 7.5.5 and the kids want to copy a bunch of files to the new computer ( standard 9/OSX install). I cant seem to make the two talk to each other ( via an x-over cable in thier ethernet ports) using AppleTalk or Tcpip.
Does anyone have any ideas how i can make it work, I dont have a network or hub just a simple x-over cable and whatever software comes standard with the machines ( no fancy extras or freeware ( yet!!!)). Hugh
