Hello, WAMUGgers,
Suddenly, without warning, keychain access seems to have
changed its password. I'm the only one who uses this machine, and I
didn't do it! I have always left it at the default password, the
same one I use to start the computer. This password no longer
works. I looked in Help, and found the following advice and tried
it, but it hasn't worked.
Reboot. See if the Keychain works. Make a backup of your keychain.
Then try opening Keychain Access and then choose Keychain First Aid
from the Window menu. You should then be able to verify or repair the
keychain.
If 10.2.8 doesn't have this option, you can download a Keychain First
Aid application from Apple.
While you're at it run Disk Utility and DiskWarrior (if you've got
it) over your drive to see if there's anything amiss they can detect.
