Thanks Rod and Shay, booting into OS 9 did the trick. I was trying
through Classic previously.
Makes it tough for those with new Macs that don't boot into 9 and use
older monitors (such as Shay's 21").
Just one more puzzle - why did it take 5 days for my first reply to get
posted on the list?
