Hi Jude,
Judging from the date of purchase (2000), this *should* be a FireWire model.
The earlier SCSI versions of that model came out in 1999.
BTW, cool article on Ken Stone's FCP website by you! So that's how you do
that 'Queer Eye' effect! For those who don't know, this guy Ken Stone has a
pretty awesome website for articles and 'how to's ' on Final Cut Pro, plus
