Hi David,

I don't use Gmail, but I did find this comment which might be helpful to you.

The choices are ...
keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox
       archive Gmail's copy
       trash Gmail's copy

However, it seems that you can reset GMail's pop list clicking on ... Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)
... and "saving the changes".
This will allow you to download a new copy of ALL your e-mail.

Thanks Ronni,
I had discovered this before when I was playing around with Gmail (and flooded my inbox with thousands of duplicate emails).

I guess that's my final answer: "GMail POP is non-standard"

David

Hi David,

Perhaps another option.
If you need to access your mail from multiple computers, you would be better off with IMAP, which Gmail does not currently offer.

Some free ones that do:

bluebottle.com
fastmail.fm
inmail24.com
galaway.com
