I-Pass and global roaming

Anyone had any experience with iPass  or any of the other products? 
I need to use my own G4PB in NZ later in the year (rather than just 
read emails at the local internet cafe).  The guys at Westnet (ever 
helpful) suggested iPass.

Any advice welcome before I plunge in....   using OS 10.3.7 
probably going to 10.4 when I get a moment.
