Hi
You don't need to waste money on the official palm backup card. In
fact, the palm backup card has documented issues with backup of the
latest models.
There are a plethora of SD card backup solutions out there. They
include:
Backup man

Backupbuddy VFS

Resco Backup
<http://www.resco.net/palm/backup/default.asp>
Botzam backup

The above range from USD $10 -30 dollars. There is also a free one
called Innerbackup (sent to you in a separate email). The latter is
nice but can be buggy on some Palm models.

I would spend the money on resco backup or backupbuddy - they are a
lifesaver when you don't have your computer around and your palm
irretrievably crashes.
Because your palm isn't syncing you will need to beam or bluetooth it
to your palm, OR plug the SD card into an SD card reader and put the
.prc file of any of the above programs into the >palm>launcher folder
on your card.
Remember to bookmark
www.palmgear.com
and
www.handango.com
where you'll find 90% of all palm software and most of which have
downloadable demos.
Good luck
