I grabbed an old Sharp laptop (must be about a Pentium 1) - SORRY NOT
A MAC !! that was being discarded at work. Thought I might set it up
for my grandson (6 year old).
Even thought I might install a version of Linux on it.
I was told that the laptop works but that the AC Adaptor is KAPUT !!
I had the adaptor tested and sure enough it is dead.
I have been scouting around for an old adaptor that works without any
success.
Specs are as follows:-
Input 100 - 240 volt 1.5A 50-60Hz 75W
Output 19.0 volt 3.2A
It has a single plug (for the laptop end) that looks virtually the
same as a motorola charger plug.
Does anyone have one of these that they do not want any more ?
I am reluctant to pay $69 for a new one when the laptop was a freeby
and might not work anyway. I am prepared to pay $20 for a second hand
one.
