Hi All,

Something very unusual [for a Mac] has happened! It blew up!

Well, I might be using a bit of artistic embellishment there, but something went bang!

My guess and hope is that it is a capacitor in the PCU.

I've been in touch with Apple and finally sorted out my AppleCare Protection Plan.

Handy tip: Always return the Enrolment Card in a timely manner!

If you do as I did and leave it until something went 'pop', you'll most likely have to dig up your proof of purchase as well.

Don't assume as I did that just because you've paid for it and they have your details, that you are automatically enrolled ;(

Now, my question for the list is, 'Which AppleCentre' should I entrust with the warranty job? Experiences with efficiency and timeliness, please.

Best, jack
