Dear WAMUG'rs, What better, on this windy day, but to sit on the Mac & fiddle around!!
Can someone please tell me if there is an advantage to using VueScan over say Epson Scan (V1.27e)? I have been using the Epson Scan software ever since I purchased my Epson Scanner/printer CX5300 in Dec 2003. Out of curiosity I downloaded VueScan which appears to be doing the same thing but possibly with better control. I use the scanner mostly to scan old photos, articles or some interesting pages out of my books for futur reference. Is there an advantage in purchasing VueScan? It is not terribly expensive, but my knowledge of scanning technique is scant hence my request for advice.
