just be aware
if you use a fat32, ntfs, udf formatted drive you may encounter problem with the long file names & file info/resource fork loosing that fork means applications do not recognise their own files anymore & your have to rename them first
os x.4.10 tends to classify unknown files as unix exec file.......
if the external hd is used with & for macintosh you should use the hfs + format
make the test with a memory stick....

Hi all

doing some research on external hard drives
basically the ole man is looking at getting around 250gig hard drive in
a (preferably) firewire case
does it have to be a MacOS formatted drive or can it be a generic type
thats non-formatted or formatted to NTFS (windows)?
what sort of prices are we looking at?

cheers
