Hi Greg,

That adaptor looks OK - should work although like you I am unsure re the plug.

However, I do have a working Apple adaptor from a PowerBook Duo that I also used with a G3 clamshell iBook that used the yo-yo adapter, so it should suit your PowerBook. (DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WILL FIT?). All the electrical specs are correct.

If it is suitable it can be yours for $15 + postage (should be cheaper from Albany than Hong Kong.

Cheers
Tony

Hiya Muggers...Happy New Year!
Does anyone know if this unit being sold on EBAY will replace my faulty

All of the specs for this adapter seem to match:

AC input is OK
Output is OK (24V, 1.875A)
It's 45W.

My only query relates to the mini plug.
The ad states: OUTPUT CONNECTOR: 7.7 mm X 2.5 mm (Mini Head)

Will that plug into my Powerbook?

I have a G3 Wallstreet (233MHz), with yoyo adapter ( Model M7332 ).

Thanks for any advice!

Greg

Thanks for posting this solution to the list Rod.

Have you got iMovie installed and working correctly now also?

It took a while but this support doc helped, plus running software
update.

Close iDVD and update to iDVD '08 (7.0.1). If the issue persists,
follow the
steps below and keep your iLife '08 installation disc nearby.

Erase the following folders from your hard drive:
/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 1
/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 2
/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 3
/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 4

Erase the following folder from your home directory:
~/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Installed Themes
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.idvd
Note: The tilde (~) represents your home directory.

Reopen iDVD '08, create a new project and wait for the Updating themes
progress bar to complete before quitting the application again. You
only
need to do this once.
To Reinstall Themes 1-4:

Insert the iLife '08 installation disc.
Open the iLife '08 installer package.
In the Installation Type window, select Customize.
Expand the iDVD checkbox and make sure iDVD Extra Content is selected.
Deselect all other checkboxes and proceed with the installation.
or
Open iDVD '08 and open a project.
Click Themes.
From the Themes drop-down menu, choose Old Themes.
Select any of the faded-out theme thumbnails.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install all of the themes
originally
erased by using Software Update or the iLife '08 installation disc.

I had a horror Leopard install a few weeks ago and it took several

Everything was ok, but today when I tried to run iDVD I got the

no themes installed
Quit iDVD and install again or click ³Look for themes² and locate
the themes
folder.

I tried to reinstall but it didn¹t fix the problem.

Please can anyone suggest where I can search to find the themes?

Ps
I think iMovie has the same problem

Hi Rod,

iLife doesn't automatically install with Leopard.
iDVD 6.0.4 and iDVD 7.0.1 are compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Upgrading to iDVD 6.0.4 or iDVD 7.0.1 should enable you to run iDVD
on
Leopard. <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306062>

iDVD 6.0.4 was released just after Leopard:
