You could run on Windows in bootcamp or even better run VLC on the MAc
side (Windows version available too).

I have a macbook pro 15" with 10.5.2 and quicktime on (not pro). Are
there other software programs that I can download to use to watch on
my machine that anyone knows of? I imagine quicktime pro would open
the mpg (it is xVid Mpeg 4 codec) but I dont have it here.
Could I run the .divx movies in Windows on bootcamp perhaps?
