My MacBook Pro (running Leopard) won't startup. Pressing the start button gets the chime, then the spinning icon, then it just shuts down again. Using shift after the start chime (for safe mode) has no effect, it just does the same thing.
Any ideas? I have the Leopard disk I used when I upgraded it from Tiger. But that is a long way back, so if there is a better way to recover ....
