Hi Steven, You're right that PMU applies to PowerPC hardware only. For Intels, it's SMC (System Management Controller), so search for that instead. Battery Calibration can be a problem -- if the battery cannot guage its capacity properly then you will have premature cut-outs. You can re-calibrate the battery by following the instructions in your hardware User Guide (I think the rule of thumb is once per month to be on the safe side over the life of the battery).
