Susan and Daniel
Thank you both for your suggestions of Snapfish and Picasa. At first
glance the former looks the most appealing but I'll investigate both.
It's also a comfort to know I am not the only one who has had
problems with creating a book in iPhoto.
My project is a Birthday Book for a son's 50th birthday so, rather
than uploading from a digital camera, most of the photos I'll be
using are scanned images from years ago, long before the age of
digital cameras. After scanning I've dragged the photos into iPhoto.
I am hoping this won't be an issue with either of the above suggested
programmes.
Many thanks to you both.
Kind regards
Laura

Hi Laura
Another one worth looking at might be Picasa (by Google).
Have a look at here:-

You can download it for free.

You can also link it into iPhoto with a plugin as well.
Quite interesting.
Hope that helps
Kind Regards

Thanks Denise, your suggestion is appreciated but I don't want to go
down the Parallels path and would really just like something else
that is Mac friendly. I know iPhoto should be the answer but for
whatever reason, at least for me, it is not.

Hi Laura
I have run Parallels on my MacBook and used Creative Memories software
Storybook Creator to make a digital album. The software is free,
although
$69 version will give you greater flexibility.
I have to declare an interest here - I'm a Creative Memories
Consultant.

MacBook and iPhoto 8
Please can anyone suggest an alternative to an iPhoto album. I am so
frustrated at trying to create a birthday album that I've given up on
iPhoto.
I know there are various on line options available for Windows users
but am not aware of anything similar for Mac.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Many thanks.
