Hi Peter,
If it is a CSS rendering issue, why does the page load perfectly on
my MacBook Pro?
Similarly, why does it display the same way on both my iMac and my
Macbook Pro?
The telling thing is that as the page loads the placement of the
iPhone elements starts out correctly, but changes at the last
moment. This smacks of CSS, not Javascript. I am prepared to accept
that there may be some plugin responsible, but that particular
process of elimination is going to wait for another day.

Any chance you're running LazyMouse?
There has been all sorts of issues with "Add Ons / Plugins not being
updated to handle Safari 4.
