Hi there folks,
A couple of nights ago I downloaded and installed "Little Snitch" as
mentioned by some WAMUG members after that ABC 4 Corners Show. Anyway,
because I was a little concerned about it I decided to delete it from
my applications folder.
Ever since then I have been getting numerous windows popping up asking
for certain applications to be given permission to connect to certain
sites. The one on my screen at the moment says:-
"GoogleSoftwareUpdateAgent wants to connect to
safebrowsing.clients.google.com on TCP port 443 (htts)." There are a
variety of buttons to select below this and also a link that states
"Show details ..."
Then the option to DENY or ALLOW. At the top left corner of each of
these windows is a smaller overlapping window that looks something
like an input box.
What the heck is all this about and how do I get rid of it ?
I have searched using Spotlight for any other iterations of Little
Snitch but cannot find any.
Regards,
Stephen Chape
