Hi Susan

Ronni asked why am I using Keynote rather than iPhoto?

You are spot on with your second guessing! As well as simply wanting to become
familiar with Keynote (iWork being new to me) I wanted the text as well. The
master slide I chose allows for a photo plus text below as well as an
additional box for even more information. It's probably a bit ambitious at this
stage, but my ultimate aim is to be able to show this project at an information
session about our recent cycling experience in Provence, similar to the photos
you saw in the Photo Book but in slideshow format with text.

Regards
Laura

Hi Laura, not to second guess you, but Keynote allows you to add slides which
are text/commentary on the photos, rather than just having a slideshow of
photos. That's why I was interested in what you are doing - its easy enough to
set up slideshows in iPhoto, but if you want people to know more about what it
is that they are seeing, then Keynote provides a way to adding extras. At
least, that would be my reason for using Keynote.

cheers, Susan.
