Peter I tried what you suggested and it does ping successfully. What is really weird about all of this is when I first connected the printer I was able to see the printer fine. The first page I sent to print was an image and 80% of the way through the printer spat the dummy and aborted with a postscript error. Ever since then I have been unable to get the printer to work. Each time I try to print it reverts to the pause state.
I've tried the following: - Turning it off and then back on again. - A cold reset, - Connecting it direct to the computer and nothing changes. - Removing the printer and then adding it back in again. It has me stumped.
