Hi, I just had a new iPhone delivered in the box (charging up at the moment) and the question is "What manual?"

Hey Neil,

I know you don’t like ready the Manual (neither do I), but it is amazing what you find in the Manual ;-)

Page 127 of the manual:

"Take a screenshot of iPhone’s display:
Quickly press and release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time.
A flash of the screen lets you know the screenshot was taken.
The screenshot is added to the Camera Roll. “

You will only be able to email the screenshot, you can't upload them to a website.

You can use iPhoto on your Mac to import the photo from the iPhone's Camera Roll.

Cheers,
Ronni

Hi,

Apologies if you all know these - but it was news to me & (I think) pretty
cool ;o)

Take a Screenshot -

To take a screenshot, hold the home button and click the sleep button. The screen will flash white and the screenshot will be stored in your camera roll.

Move "dock" icons -

You'd be surprised how often this tip is overlooked. The 4 icons located on the grey bar at the bottom of your iPhone - Phone, Mail, iPod, Safari - are movable, just like the rest of the icons. Just press and hold the icons, then drag them while they are shaking. Press the home button when you're done. You
can put any 4 icons on your dock.

I used the second tip to remove one of my pet peeves - having to navigate to the camera app when I want to snap a quick pic - now the camera app is in my
dock!

(I know that the camera will be even more accessible with the new IOS update
- but in the meantime...)
