Hi Robert, The answer may lie in the log files which can be accessed in the Console.app
Applications > Utilities > Console.app But before going down that road MYOB is definitely responsible. I can't quote the actual law (in Canada it's the 'Sales of Goods Act') but if you sell a product that does not perform the function for which it is designed the purchaser is entitled to full refund. The accountant probably doesn't want a refund but I think he should be more assertive with MYOB. However, if that is not the path he wishes to follow, see if the log files offer a clue as to why the app isn't launching. What version OS X does he have and is it a standard install -- in that has he installed any exotic apps as yet?
