Hi Ronni

Thanks for that information. I have had the same problem as Stuart, but
intermittently and not in urgent situations. So my lack of knowledge about
cookies and JavaScript didn't matter. Now, if the problem happens again, I will
be able to handle it.

Hi Stuart,

Why your message has not shown on WAMUG Mailing list and is not showing in
WAMUG Mailing list is because it is an attachment.
WAMUG Mailing list does not allow attachments, only plain text emails.

The ANZ online Statements are in PDF format the same as all the banks and the
settings are the same as most banks.

I’ve typed the error message from the attachment you sent me, it reads:

/quote:
Why your statement is unavailable:

To access your ANZ online statements you need to have your browser cookies
enabled.
You'll also need to be logged into ANZ Internet Banking before you can access
your online statements.

What you need to do:

Make sure that your browser cookies are enabled, if you're not sure how you can
find out more
Log into ANZ Internet Banking by going to www.anz.com, then to access your
online statements go to Accounts and View Online Statements.
/End Quote:

Using Safari to access your ANZ online statements, you need to:

Step 1 - Check the security settings:

a) Select "Safari" from the menu bar and then select "Preferences" from the
menu.
b) From the new window, select "Security" from the icons along the top and then
check that the following options are ticked:
Enable Java
Enable JavaScript
Ensure the "Block pop-up windows" box is left unchecked.
Click the red close window button in the top left corner.

Step 2 - Enable cookies for ANZ

a) Select "Safari" from the menu bar and then select "Preferences" from the
menu.
b) From the new window, select "Privacy" from the icons along the top and then
check that the following options are ticked:
In the "Block cookies" section, if "Always" is selected, change it to "From
third parties and advertisers". If "Never" is selected, you can leave it the
way it is.
Click the red "close window" button in the top left corner.

Step 3 - Clear the cache

a) Select "Safari" from the menu bar and then select "Empty cache" from the
drop down menu.
b) When the confirmation window appears, click "Empty" to clear the browser
cache

Step 4 - Apply all changes

To enable these changes, close and restart your browser.
Once you have re-opened the browser, your Safari settings should be compatible
with ANZ Internet Banking and allow you to log on.

This is all fairly standard for accessing online bank statements.

Cheers,
Ronni
