I'm not sure if this is a hotmail issue, or a Mail issue, but lately I've had examples whereby somebody has sent me an email with attachment, but I can't access the attachment.

Using Apple's Mail as email Client (Lion 10.7.3), I can see that the content (as in the attached file) must be within the email somewhere because in the Size column of my inbox screen, it says 691KB, and in the paperclip column, 2 attachments (1 of which is an embedded graphic in a sig file). However, when looking at the email itself, it indicates just 1 attachment of 31KB, being the embedded graphic. No sign of the attachment I want to access, and I've looked in the Mail Downloads folder itself. Yet Mail must begetting this 691KB info from somewhere?? Anybody have a clue as to what's happening here?
