Hi Brett,

If your new iMac is the current model iMac13,2 & depending on if you have set
the new iMac up yet, you can use Migration Assistant / Target Disk Mode to
migrate your 'older' Mac that has Firewire800 Port to a 'New' Mac that has no
Firewire but instead has a Thunderbolt Port.

I did a Tutorial for my clients "Transfer Mac (FW800 to a New Mac
(Thunderbolt)" which explains how to use Migration Assistant
to transfer from the older Mac (FW800) to a new Mac (Thunderbolt) usingApple's
Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter.

The Tutorial can be downloaded from this link.

If you do find the helpful and download it a donation would be greatly
appreciated.

Cheers,
Ronni
