Ok, now that that's out of the way,…. There are a few different ways to do it, depending on the OS. Apple's info to do it is listed here <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1428> Another way you can do it is here… http://osxdaily.com/2011/05/20/change-short-name-user-mac-os-x/ You can have "mixed" success with either, so just be wary of it. There is a way to do it via a cloned back up, create the new user account and "copy" the data back. But it can carry permissions errors and library issues,…so i'm a bit wary to recommend that one. (it's not overly easy either,…lol).
