Hello WWW’s,
Your committee recently had its first meeting for 2015. We were all still
coming out of holiday mode so it was a bit of a jolt to the “little grey
cells.” Hee! Hee!
Some information for you from the meeting
WAMUG AGM
Forrest Gump once said “The really good thing about meeting the President of
the United States is the food.” Well, we cannot guarantee you will meet the
President of the United States but we can guarantee you a meeting followed by
food.
This year our all important WAMUG AGM will be held during the day, on Sunday
11th March at a venue yet to be announced. (there will be no regular meeting
that month)
We will hold a short AGM - no presentations, just the formal activities. ( i.e
Report of the Committee and the Financial Statements, the election of the
Officers and the Committee) and then adjourn for lunch and social gathering. A
number of members were disappointed they could not attend our 30th lunch last
year. Hopefully you will be able to make it this time.
It is essential that we have the required number of financial members
physically present at the AGM, so mark this occasion in your iCal, on the
fridge, or tie a piece of string around your finger, whatever works for you and
keep this date free.
Committee Members
We are always looking for committee members. You do not have to be an expert
with a mac - I’m certainly not. The more committee members we have, the more
the work can be shared. Even if you can only attend some of the meetings that
is ok. It would be lovely to have some ‘fresh blood’ (and no that was not a
vampire’s pick up line!) So please consider becoming involved in this 'band of
brothers’ + one sister.
February’s Meeting
Our first meeting for this year will be held on Tuesday, 3 February 2015 in the
Professional Prowest Real Estate building, 175 High Road Willeton, at 7:30 pm
This month’s meeting will be a Mac talkfest - featuring all things Siri and the
use of Mac’s dictation. So bring along your iPads & iPhones and ‘Avago mate!’
Cheers to everyone & remain cool over the next few days.
