Yes, sadly, Bill died in his sleep a fortnight ago tomorrow, very unexpectedly
but due to a blood clot.

His funeral was an open air affair yesterday, near the lake in Manning Park,
Spearwood. His coffin was made of wickerwork and the Morris Men of Perth formed
a guard of honour while his coffin was escorted from the hearse by members of
two volunteer fire brigades from the hills.

At the conclusion of the service The Red Sea Pedestrians played as Bill was
wheeled back to the hearse. Bill had been a member of the group.

A man of many parts, he used to run his four wheel drive on fuel he made from
fat collected from fish and chip shops. He also ran it on fuel he made from
chook manure.
For some reason Toyota I think it was rejected a warranty claim on either the
fuel pump or the injector system (I can't remember which).

Bill was a scientist who worked in the field of microbiotics. He was involved
in a company which floated relatively recently, Protomeics International, which
is developing a market in India, amongst other places. Tests it has developed
can predict the probability of various illnesses well in advance of symptoms
becoming apparent.

I miss Bill and his irreverent sense of humour.
