I had a look at Loopy and it looks much to professional for what I want.

I think I will try the Keynote option and see if that works for me.

Typing ?Loop video iPad? into Google returned a list of options. One of these 
is ?Loopy? which seems to just the ticket, but although is it listed as free to 
download, it does turn out to be subscription based. I suppose it depends on 
how often you intend to use it. There seems to be plenty of other options, one 
of which turns out to be Keynote, which is probably already on your iPad is is 
definitely free.
