Clerics to join antigraft drive BOGOR: Chairman of the National Movement for Corruption Eradication (GNPK) Adi Warman refused to install Bogor's officials in the movement and opted to involve religious leaders in the nationwide campaign. He said that the Bogor candidates had not passed the training on corruption eradication. "Training on corruption eradication is a must for officials because it teaches corruption eradication procedures. So, I won't inaugurate officials who have not passed the training," he said. Adi said that he would involve clerics and the Indonesian Council of Ulema (MUI) so that they could talk about corruption eradication in their religious discourses. One of the most influential clerics in Bogor Habib Shaugy Gatmyr welcomed Adi's statement saying that the clerics' involvement was badly needed as corruption in Bogor had spread to businesspeople and bureaucrats alike.
