Andreas Kotes commented on WAVE-434:
------------------------------------

I know the difference very well.

I would be willing to invest some time and energy in it, IF the investment from
current members goes beyond poking at the code - which basically is all we all
want to do ;)

Like I set: we'd need a solid status on what _actually_ needs to be done to get
it out of the incubator. There's a worklist, but who what when why about is is
inclear (to me) for at least two years, and every time I come back and check
whether it's in a (legal and other) state where more than taking the current
code and seeing whether it still works makes sense there just isn't enough
information about that.

A current braindump (maybe even on the mailinglist) might be enough -
visibility is too limited to outsiders, which is the first thing that needs to
change to get anywhere, IMHO.

I've joined the mailinglist and stand by the description of this ticket ;)

> Due to the unclear status, the program seems to be in hiatus

> The website doesn't reflect AT ALL about the current status of the project,
> the incubator page itself does not provide ANY information about the TRUE
> status, and there is no worklist to get the project out of the Incubator and
> on track again.
> Current team members still interested in the project should add concrete
> subtasks or preferrably User Stories to this epic to get it back on track -
> or step back and let the project die in peace.
> Wave is to awesome to be neglected or done half-assedly, let's either get it
> in a state where it can attract more open source users and developers or bury
> it properly.
