I think the reason why most folks are more partial to the black and white episodes is because they have seen them more. Most of the re-runs are the black and white ones. There are some really great story lines in the color episodes. Do yourself a favor and purchase the color seasons (from Weaver's) . The color is FANTASTIC! I was used to the washed out looking episodes that have been around for so long. The new DVD set looks like they were just made with brilliant and vivid color.
