I was listening to an AM talk radio program last night with only about half interest when suddenly I heard a Mayberry reference. A woman was interviewing someone who worked with and knew President Ronald Reagan quite well. They were discussing President Reagan's background and somewhat dysfunctional family. The gentleman being interviewed said that President Reagan's father was sort of like Otis from the Andy Griffith Show in that he was the jolly town drunk when Ronald Reagan was growing up.
