Patty, Bein' that I grew up in the south and bein' that I'm about Opie's
age, when I was a kid in conversation with an adult, the adult referred to
another adult as Mr. Jones or Mrs. Jones like the child would have
addressed the person. Things have changed now so the children call adults
Mr. Mike or Ms. Cathy. I don't know if Opie was in on the conversation that
you are referring to but that may be the case on the show.
