I have heard the term to Knock The Block off Someone's Shoulder since I was a
child, and I passed 88 last birthday! I even saw it used once when in grade
school. Can't remember the outcome but sometimes it is best to leave things as
they are because when you reach out to knock the block off, you leave yourself
wide open for a punch!
Now you just hear someone say, "I'm gonna knock your block off" meaning your
head! Back then we had no 'time out' or 'safe place' so we did what boys do, we
lost our temper, dared someone to a fight and sometimes it worked, sometimes it
didn't but ten minutes later we were all playing ball together again!
Life goes on.....Welford TheCameraNuttttt!!!!
