HTML mail and certain types of attachments are also red
flags for content-filtering, spam blocking software such as
Spamassassin. This is being used more and more, and
basically if the email is heavily weighted toward HTML +
images or other embedded attachments, it will be given a
higher weighted spam score. So a good deal of what you send
out might be intercepted and deleted or redirected to some
junk mail folder that will never be read.

A BETTER choice is to create an HTML page and send out a
text bulletin that contains appropriate links to the page.
