1.Many businesses, especially large corporates operate proxy servers and firewalls, which amongst other things specifically block all attachments and html email.[ Try sending an html email to your bank for example. ]
So you need to have a clear idea of the make up of the business mailing list and the likelihood of firewalls being operated by the intended recipients. Apart from the extra bandwidth cost saving [ which is also why they use proxy servers - to cache frequently requested pages ] html emails are blocked because of the possibility of malicious or malformed code. 2.Html emails can have images and text embedded, just as pdf or word documents can...if when you resend the email the image is sent as an attachment your default setting is probably just the wrong option.. 3.A tip for you: see 1 above, be aware that if your target businesses are operating proxy servers and caching this has implications for your site design and what you set your refresh or expiry date at for your pages.
