Having re-read my post I was not even remotely clear
on what my issue is! Guess that's what happens when
you rush things and got a lot on your plate...

To clarify then...

One section of my primary Flash site is a history of
the company. I have produced an audio-visual piece
also in Flash having animation synced to a voice over.
What I am doing is using the loadMovie command to load
an instance of the AV history into a viewing pane of
my primary site. The reason I am doing this is the AV
piece is pretty large (full of preloaders and
streaming so it's OK) so I want to keep it external to
the rest of the site (also I can edit and maintain it
more easily).

I have not had a problem using this technique before -
there are a number of little external animations for
portfolio and news item thumbnails on the site linked
in exactly this manner.

The issue is that the voice over simply does not play
when loaded into the primary site using loadMovie. As
a result, the preloading and animation sync that
relies heavily on the voice over (and the associated
ActionScript) falls over so the whole thing basically
doesn't work.

Now as I've been in a such a rush with this it never
occured to me to have this AV piece in my library as
an external file so I'm gonna go and do that now. If I
still have no joy then I'll look forward to hearing
any ideas you might have on this.

Sorry I was confusing beforehand and I hope this
clears things up...

To Jan: Might be a bit awkward to send you around 70Mb
of .fla files lol
