If I explicitly set $emplid='1234567' in the function before doing anything
to the database, everything works as it should. This field is updated
correctly in both tables, the survey flow is correct, and there are no
errors. Somehow, the survey flow gets arrested if I use a datetime field
for emplid, which I don't understand. All I need now is to somehow have a
unique identifier in emplid. Is there a simple way to do that?
