In one sense, this doesn't matter since your doctype is incomplete and throws the page into quirks mode, which paradoxically means a browser can use it's error handling to guess at what you meant to use for a type of style and hence can apply your "text/css" type even when not given. You need to include this for the images, even if it just as alt="". An interesting inclusion with elevation for the logo id. You have an aural browser you are testing with? What is it?
