Anyone have any recommendations for a video capture board and software? I want to start playing around transferring home videos from tape to DVD. Obviously this will be a cost/performance project. I'm not looking for the multi-thousand pound packages
(£00,000!!!) - but some reviews of the bottom of the range items are I feel (without having seen them) less than fair.

Our son in Australia bought a package while I was there in November for around £100 (equivalent) that had the board and all software. It did a superb job on some stuff we played around with, yet the reviews have slated it as a complete waste of money (Press Launch Lunch must have been below par I suppose!) Can't recall the name and as he's away on business for the next three weeks I can't contact him.

Any guidance welcome.
