Hi,

There is reported pam_mysql related memory leak.

This is how I've dealed with it-

MEMORY LEAK DEALING:
a) add the following line to /etc/init.d/saslauthd :

FLAGS="-n0 -s 2048 -t 3600 -c"

(add $FLAGS to the following line so it looks like)
# /sbin/startproc $AUTHD_BIN -a $SASLAUTHD_AUTHMECH $FLAGS > /dev/null 2>&1

# add the following line to /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd :

 FLAGS="-n0 -s 2048 -t 3600 -c"

 run:
# SuSEconfig

b) insserv /etc/init.d/saslauthd
c) /etc/init.d/saslauthd start
END OF MEMORY LEAK DEALING:

Regards,
Leon Kolchinsky

This is not enough information.

How many users?

How much mail is being transmitted?

Without knowing more, but wanting to help, I believe SASL could be the culprit.
 Try restarting saslauthd:

# saslauthd -n 0

The -n option forces saslauthd to fork a new process for each connection,
which, according to the man page, "can help to solve leaks in some deployments".
