Hi,

It seems strange to me to release code snippets under a GPL licence,
when these snippets are extracted from the google forum. These
contents are public domain, or copyright Google, or copyright from
their respective authors. They are not the property of the people that
make the compilation. Perhaps, the compilation itself could be
licensed with Creative commons, but not the code.

Massimo decided to license the web2py framework under GPL. But he was
wise enough to license le T2 plugin under the BSD license.

It seems to me harmful to web2py to license examples of use under GPL:
that means that no commercial application could include the code of
that snippets that are supposed good practice.
So I suggest one of these licenses for examples of use of web2py :
BSD, MIT, Artistic. However, i think that examples of few linines
published in the google forum are de facto public domain.

What do you think Massimo ?

Regards,
Bruno
