I will add some comments here. 1) It is important to avoid brand confusion with web.py (the two has to be visible) 2) It is not a good idea to have a logo that looks like it is falling apart 3) As much as I may like snakes, I am not convinced reptiles convey a professional image.
Even if a logo may not be appropriate for the official site... many of these logos are really good and should be put to use. We have web2py- utils, web2pyslices, etc. and we will have more sites to come. We can keep a common page layout and use different logos.
